Once they were back in Nancy’s car, Cathy asked, “Why did you convince Ginny to call the police?”

“Like you said, they’ll protect her. I’m not too concerned that they’ll solve the case. I already have another idea to pursue.”

“What’s that?” It was late. Cathy was tired, but she knew Nancy, a night owl, was just revving up.

“I want us to speak with Eloise.”

“Raff’s sister?” Mildred asked. “Why do you want to talk to her?”

“I want to know exactly what Raff’s relationship is to Ginny. Tommy told me that Raff had also been seeing Georgia. That can’t be a coincidence.”

“I’m sure the police are checking that out.”

“I’m sure they are, but that doesn’t mean we can’t, too.”

“Okay. We can do that tomorrow.” Cathy stifled a yawn.

Mildred said, “I think we’ve had enough for one night. I’m tired, too.”

“You can both hold out a little longer. Tomorrow is Georgia’s memorial. We need to act tonight. Raff said Eloise lives nearby. He might be going back to her house since he said he was interrupted from consoling her by Ginny’s call.” Nancy looked toward Ginny’s door as Raff stepped out and gave her a hug before walking to his car.

“He’ll see you follow him,” Cathy said.

“I’ll be discrete.” Nancy waited until Raff was half a block away and then she started the car.

“I don’t understand. Don’t you want to speak to Eloise alone?”

“He’ll leave eventually. Haven’t you heard of a stakeout?”

Cathy sighed. It was going to be a long night.
